Confirm the university’s receiving campus
Hainan University’s 2026 international arrival notice assigns students to different campuses, including Haidian and Mission Hills in Haikou, and campuses in Danzhou and Sanya. Admission to the university therefore does not automatically mean studying in Haikou.
Coastline and historical places
The university’s city guide introduces Holiday Beach, Xixiu Beach and historical sites such as Wugong Temple and Hai Rui’s tomb. Haikou’s coastal and historical sides provide different ways to spend time beyond the classroom.
Plan for a tropical academic year
Use Hainan University’s current registration notice for the correct arrival venue, documents and contact channels. A tropical destination still requires a full study plan; campus location and programme requirements matter more than a holiday image of the island.
