A science and education city
Jilin’s official city profile links Changchun’s industry with transportation equipment and its science, education and cultural sectors. Use this as context when comparing courses; a city industry does not in itself guarantee work experience or employment.
A strongly seasonal daily rhythm
Jilin University’s arrival guidance describes dry, windy springs, warm rainy summers, clear autumns and long cold winters. Preparing clothing and daily routines for all four seasons matters more than the literal meaning of the city’s name.
Use orientation guidance early
Jilin University organises arrival information into pre-departure preparation, post-entry guidance, orientation and useful information. Work through your chosen university’s equivalent resources before departure so that practical tasks do not crowd the start of classes.
